The 5th Precinct is comprised of one of the largest Asian populations within New York City. There are many specialty shops, restaurants and stores in the Chinatown Area in Lower Manhattan.

Meetings: The 5th Precinct Community Council meets on the last Wednesday of each month in the 5th Precinct Station House at 8 PM. There are no meetings for the month of July and August. The 5 th Precinct Youth Council meets on the last Tuesday of each month at 4 PM in the 5th Precinct Station House.
