Joseph E. Gorczyca joined Schwartzapfel Partners, P.C. in July, 2010 bringing to the Firm his vast experience in both construction accidents and general negligence claims including auto accidents, slip, trip and fall injuries and premise liability.

Background

Mr. Gorczyca has successfully represented union members and construction workers for on-the-job accidents pursuant to New York’s Labor Laws. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Gorczyca was an associate at Thacher Proffitt & Wood LLP, King & Spalding LLP and The Perecman Firm, PLLC.

Mr. Gorczyca has proven track record of success on numerous cases.  In addition, Mr. Gorczyca has handled numerous appeals and successfully argued appellate cases.  Since joining Schwartzapfel Partners, Mr. Gorczyca has helped recover millions of dollars for his clients involved in construction accidents, motor vehicle collisions and premises cases.

Education

Mr. Gorczyca graduated cum laude from Hofstra University School of Law.  He was an editor of the Hofstra Law Review and made the Dean’s List every semester.  He distinguished himself by earning the 1L Contracts Award which is reserved for the student with the highest grade in that class. Mr. Gorczyca received a Bachelor of Science degree from Shenandoah University, located in Winchester, Virginia where he was team captain of the lacrosse team.
