Martek settles OmegaTech milestone litigation

BANGALORE (Reuters) - Martek Biosciences Corp said it settled a litigation with former shareholders of OmegaTech related to certain delayed payments included in the April 2002 merger agreement between the companies.

The health and nutritional supplements company said it will issue 341,061 common shares to OmegaTech's former stockholders in full settlement of the claims.

Martek will record about $10 million of additional goodwill when the shares are issued, it said in a statement.
