US regulators OK second generic version of Duragesic

NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. regulators have approved Lavipharm SA's generic version of Johnson & Johnson's Duragesic pain patch, the second copycat version approved for sale.

The approval was announced on the web site of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Mylan Laboratories Inc. had been selling the only generic version of Duragesic.
