As a Member of the firm, Deborah N.F. Truhowsky has devoted her professional career to providing the highest level of service while achieving the best possible results for STMS clients.

Background
Deborah was born in 1963 and attended New York University where she earned her B.A. degree in 1985. Excited by the opportunity to practice law in the area, she remained on the East coast where, in 1988, she completed her J.D. degree at Hofstra University School of Law. That same year Ms. Truhowsky was admitted to the bar in New York and Connecticut, and was admitted to the U.S. District Court in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Deborah then completed a Masters of Law degree in Business and Taxation from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.

Practice Areas
Deborah presently concentrates her legal practice in the areas of Nursing Home and Hospital Abuse & Neglect, Pharmaceutical and Product Litigation and Personal Injury.

Memberships
Deborah is a member of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, the New York State Bar Association and the American Association for Justice. Ms. Truhowsky served on the Board of Directors of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association from 1998-2001. Pursuing her goal to foster consumer rights and streamline legal disputes, Ms. Truhowsky has served as Lecturer on Consumer Rights, as well as Lecturer for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Seminar, for the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. Ms. Truhowsky is also a frequent lecturer on Ethics. From 2001-2003 and 2005, Ms. Truhowsky has chaired an Ethics Roundtable lecture series for the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. She has also lectured on Liens in Personal Injury and Wrongful Death cases. In addition, Ms. Truhowsky regularly lectures on Nursing Home Neglect and Abuse and is a Board Member for the Long Term Care Community Coalition.

Deborah has been awarded the prestigious AV rating in Martindale-Hubbell. This rating, which identifies a lawyer with very high to preeminent legal ability, is a reflection of expertise, experience, integrity and overall professional excellence.
